THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not? why not indeed!!" MY MOTHER WRITES(in aerograms,and...)

she keeps me up to date,when

life runs by on skateboards,and

i only have roller skates

she tells me of my sisters,and

all of their adventures,when

each is formed so differently,when

their versions find my home.You see-

they are adept@technology

and this seems necessary-email,IM,

all as easy as SKYPE&SNOPES-see!

my other in an Instagram,when

they send her image to me.She

writes less(@83-i write the same thing-

"Love.Food.Poetry"("But it does not rhyme

she is puzzled @these lines,when my sister

fills her needs /and shames me /with her written artistry

My mother writes to me,and we will continue epistolary

connections until endings are imposed upon

our outmoded forms of personal communication.

Already,i type instead of write.So she will read this(legibly) tonight

And write back(or not..
