Ike Willis with Zappatika, performing the music of Frank Zappa

Ike Willis with Zappatika, performing the music of Frank Zappa
American vocalist and guitarist, Ike Willis was a regular member of Frank Zappa's studio and touring bands from 1978 until the composer's untimely death in 1993.

Willis was the voice of the Thing-Fish, and Joe in Zappa's rock opera Joe's Garage.

Ike and ZAPPATiKA last joined forces on stage with a dynamic three hour headline show at the Zappanale Festival in Germany in 2010.

The Just Passin' Thru tour is a whirlwind trip through Holland, Belgium and the UK. As the only concert in the South-East of Great Britain, this is a major coup for the Thameside.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
