THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem


Rob Ayling writes: 

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not? why not indeed!!" WHETHER THE CORE OF OUR SPINNING EARTH
is Robert Frost or Walt Whitman's Sampler
Fire or ice,cheese or chocolate
strawberry or vanilla-we will never know

Stillness may be@the core of us-or Sufi dancers
We must move to find out
When we do,are we still?-or still moving?

Ice in space,fire from one nuclear sun
dark holes,dark matter-ILLUMINATE!

Since the 60s our minds are spaced
2015-our computer heads are in the Cloud
Matter is not what we are made of-
we are holes stitched together with skin

Beliefs are only facts floated higher than evidence
This is where we are going.Bye,science!
