Abrahams, Mick - Revived (CD + DVD)/ Published on 12-07-2015 /

Guitarist co-founder of Jethro Tull (British rock group founded in the second half of the 60s) and founder ofBlodwyn Pig (blues-rock band founded in 1968), Mick Abrahams has also made many solo albums (with the 15 -C). Present on the first Tull album "This Was" at 68, he left the band due to musical differences with Ian Anderson , another founding member. He founded his blues-rock band with Clive Bunker , another member of Tull. Let us add that in the late 90s, Mick form the group This Was with other former employees, causing controversy with respect to the creation of the legendary band Jethro Tull. After his 72 th birthday, so he realizes in a few weeks this new album where he is accompanied by many big names like Martin Barre (Jethro Tull), Paul Jones (Jethro Tull), Bill Wyman (Rolling Stones), Bernie Marsden(Whitesnake), Jim Rodford (The Kinks) or Elliott Randall (Steely Dan). Blues andclassic-rock are on the menu here, with an electric guitar that is expressed and flies in heaven. All sounding seventies, it brings us back to that time and all his legendary bands.

Like any good blues-rock, the song ends by bearings and copper barrels, accompanying guitar. Follows a tinted jazz-rock side of rock'n'roll where, saxophone and the surrounding humor give a short side rather light. We return to good blues with the intervention of Elliott Randall that second master of ceremonies in flights of six strings.Repeatedly come cheer with this album "On The Road Again" a certain Cannet Heat , who seems quite faithful to the original. The same goes for "Nadine" by Chuck Berry , which keeps us in a pure rock'n'roll atmosphere. The harmonica and organ music will complete armada here for a collection of songs where blues-rock intersect, bogie and rock'n'roll. The DVD is packed for its many pearls, with a long interview with Mick, which presents each of the protagonists involved in the recording sessions.

Largely filmed sessions where one breathes the atmosphere of the rehearsals and where one can appreciate the professionalism and quality of work of this great range of famous artists. Finally we note that despite his great age, our guitarist has kept his smile and punch of a young wolf  ! Dur pure pleasure for purists, collectors and true fans of blues and rock'n'roll, which found Here a high-flying musician in a register that is familiar.Back in the past where, Mick Abrahams brings to life the best musical trends, accompanied by a host of legendary musicians  ! ...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
