Genesis guitarist is set to bring his solo show to Cliffs Pavilion

Rockin’ out – Steve Hackett with vocalist Nad Sylvan Picture: GENE STEINMAN

Steve Hackett was lead guitarist with Genesis in the Seventies, and is well-respected as a musician, singer and songwriter in his own right.

In 1986, he co-founded the supergroup GTR with another progressive guitarist, Steve Howe of Yes and Asia.

They released the US Top 20 single When the Heart Rules the Mind, but Steve left in 1987 and the group disbanded.

He has since been recording and touring worldwide as a solo artist, and brings one of these tours to Southend’s Cliffs Pavilion in October.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
