Do you love classic rock? If your answer is "Yes," then get ready for a treat.

Two of the genre's biggest acts of the 1970s and 1980s, Yes and Toto, are set to perform Friday at Cohen Stadium.

The Grammy Award-winning group Yes, best known for its progressive rock hits like "Roundabout" and "Owner of a Lonely Heart," has seen many members come and go (and in some cases come back again) since the release of its self-titled debut album in 1969.

Through it all, the one member who never left was bassist Chris Squire. The virtuoso bassist formed the band, along with original vocalist Jon Anderson, in 1968 and is the only person to have played on each of the band's 21 studio albums. It was announced in May that Squire had been diagnosed with leukemia and would not be joining the band on the road this summer. Squire died in June.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
