THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

ACTUALLY, WE DO WHAT WE DO

TO FEEL BETTER IN CONNECTION

Even when Bibles are quoted to separate families

Even when murderers are praised and respected

Even when Bitcoin fraud is endemic and universal

Even when weather turns totally unpredictable

(Seasons seem such an historic event-like Almanacs!..)

So we listen with a sharper ear/to sift wheat from chaff

So we are vigilant for Photoshop and faux news

And learn the many ways of perfidy /and abjure them

While friends say to look for gold among the glitter

We look for water among the plastic/separate

False from True/even when we disagree

Philosophy allows a Form of Light

to Illumine our tiny daily doings

so we feel better about ourselves

without harming,injuring or killing

Sometimes,we fail
