THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN

INNER TEMPLE &OUTER WILD WINDS

More than skin covering bones

or trees sheltering birdsong

More than calm in the eye of hurricanes

and Myth@the core of all Tales

One can learn of heroin without imbibing

Same with Oxycontin,Adderall,Tramadol

Same with Meth and Prozac and Ritalin

My Vet friend sold his drugs to pay rent

He is dead.It is not the drugs that killed him

More the voices and what he saw and could not imbibe

Enchanters play the flute at funerals and weddings

Births,Deaths,Marriages and (Multiple)Divorces

There was a string quartet on the sinking Titanic

Krishna played his flute for all the little gopis

Listen?Do you hear ?Celestial Music?

Stillness in this Age of Storms..
