"CIVILITY" IN CIVIL WAR ZONES
THIS CAN MEAN MANY THINGS-
Welcoming refugees to "The Land of the Free"
Not imprisoning children and separating families
Not threatening journalists and protestors
Not inflaming Twitter with racism or misogyny
More positively,it may mean fixing roads,bridges and infrastructure
Ensuring Medicare for all,as well as shelter
Perhaps a Living Wage for all ,over income disparities
These are all pipe dreams until speech becomes silver(not toxic
arsenic)
And the true taste of democracy is reflected in
the way we treat each other and the world we are all involved within
Let me dream of beginnings without the need for endings
From Ground Zero,post Hiroshima/Nagasaki,Japan can flourish
Post World War Two(post Dresden/Berlin firestorms)
Germany can become an economic engine
We need a Marshall Plan for America.Start with free speech..
