"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"
DEFEATING TIME
Silence-for three minutes and thirty-three seconds.
Designing/building structures(pyramids/sound caves/theaters)
that will last longer than our life time.And works-literary,musical-
calculated to extend beyond our "three score years and ten"
Think-Star time.Universe time.Life times extended by those twin thoughts-
INFINITY/ETERNITY.(and Beyond).Sounds like Buzz Lightyear(or John Cage)
Sounds like slow time.Zen Meditating mind.Immortalism via Creation.
If you can dream it is possible.Water time.Mountain time.
Glacier time.Drip of stalactite to stalagmite.Kiss of Infinities.
Beyond and before and After us-different time signatures/shifts
Music knows this
