Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes:
"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"
EYE LOVE EACH FOOL MOON
EVEN THOSE DARK MOONS
that portend doom, disaster, difficulties
Bright silver moons lead a way
across shimmering Light paths
Clear for walking and perambulating
Deep for sleep and meditations
I know the moon has many lovers
Science fiction novelists and film makers
Poets must wait in line beneath her umbra
She has a tale, and it is a long one
Wallace and Grommit eat their green cheese
with Diana, Aphrodite and Selene
There is also a cat upon the moon
A rabbit and a space base for (aliens)
So much has been invested,it seems disappointing
to find she is just moon dust and moon rocks
We personify her, but then again-
to Aboriginals, the moon is a male
