Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

IT IS BY CHOICE WE ARE HERE

in our Gallery, as objects for other's eyes

who can see all we do-we are on FULL VIEW

If HOST, one can unlock Pandora's Box

admit those with codes into the Waiting room

Start the Meeting when sufficient numbers

fill those rectangular frames-and the conversation begins

TO MUTE OR NOT TO MUTE?..That is the question

Good manners requests that all mute apart from the designated speaker

Smaller groups might permit some casual anarchy

whereby several conversations happen at once

but music has different requirements. Echoes, feedback loops, ambient sounds

can only be filtered by muting. The Laws of Zoom are immutable.

So you try FACEBOOK LIVE ,GOOGLE CLASSROOM,CISCO WEBEX

or any other derivation of conferencing platforms. Each have limits.

All have laws.ignored by Zoombombers,hackers and those phishing .

OF COURSE we all wish to be in hugging distance.

But fear  of Covid is as real as Covid itself.So we are all in these ZOOM ROOMS

until the plague and all its variants are vaccined to oblivion-

then we can come home-to each other,and ourselves..HOME!
