THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

WE ARE COMING OUT AGAIN

(but it will never be the same

I used to be a film fanatic

addicted to dark theaters  with first releases

Have not seen a cinema for two years now

Same with theater and restaurants

Others gather because they must

They feel a need for others/touch

Mask mandates are precautionary,true

but what do the non-vaccinated do?

Are we to trust them,too?(to do the RIGHT thing-

and take precautions for our common health conditions..

So far,it is isolation plus ZOOM rooms

Some poets have :LIVE venues(most are HYBRID)

And our future seems twined with live AND online

Not enough.It is not enough for some

Do not even mention how Texas now allows you to carry a gun..
