As a NEW JOURNALIST,many of his articles featured Norman Mailer as protagonist..
His stabbing of his wife was like William Burrough's "William Tell" accidental murder of his wife,
and the misogyny of his generation included Charles Bukowski &Hunter S Thompson..
He ran for Mayor of New York,was pugilistic in interactions,loud,boastful and Narcissistic.
Also a very popular author in the late 50s and 60s,with his fame diminishing
like the quality of his fiction/faction /channeled writings..Norman is history now-
relevant in the context of the Chicago police riots,American media icons ,and notoriety ..
Other voices sing our 2021 in,and 1958 seems a grandfathered generation.
You had to be there-to see personality paraded as policies,and charisma as abuse.
The only question is-does his literary output allow lifestyle excuses? NOT IN 2021..
