Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes:
"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"
WAYS OF LIFE AND DUST
DUST DOTTED SLANTS OF LIGHT
You know when you look down a hallway by dusk
And shafts of light beam strong and bright
And floating particles of dust hesitate
Light as air, but destined to earth
By carpet or by wood, they land
Their voyage a floating world
They hold suspended particles in their hands
Which are (as air is)invisible -all we see
are particle truths. Never the whole Light show
Jigsaw reality-always with one singular piece-missing.

BLINDED BY LIGHT
Sunglassed and filtered
We take minimal amounts
Of drugs to see visions
Talk mescaline,mushrooms
Rituals of Enlightenment
But weevils in the flour
Darkness intrudes,demanding power
We acknowledge with respect pain,suffering,death
These dust motes on our consciousness
Are as much a part of Light and Life
as the particles of our Being post-Obvious

LIGHT PER SE MAY BLIND OUR DAYS
We dilute its power, with dust of age
Convince ourselves that miracles
are just a stage
we are going through
Like Light,we pass
Both as waves and particles
Dust
