THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

I GIVE THANKS

For the breath that animates

For the prana,chi,ka that circulates

Within this skin and in all air surrounding

I praise water (i am mostly made of water)

so blood flows ,pumped by a hard-working heart

that works overtime 24 hours a day/EVERY day/night

without hiccup or heartbreak up or down

I revere this one Earth,holder of my bag of bones

This fragile flesh.These Gardens that grow(Organics you know-

sans fertilizers,pollution,poisons.I give thanks for this gift of temporary time.

Even if life is a parking meter,defined by limits.I am grateful for it.

I DIG it!And my attitude is gratitude..in truth..

I am grateful for you,too.
