WHEN MARGARET THATCHER CLOSED DOWN COAL PLANTS
Thousands became unemployed with no alternative employment
BUT the air became clear and the water almost drinkable
Seems the dinosaurs still have coal seams on their minds
while trading carbon offsets for their coal project expansions
If this were not an issue of your life and/or death
I would rhyme a light verse (that rhymed with hearse)
but those melting icebergs elevate coastal water levels
and floods persist as do chaotic weather patterns
and we know this ,so events like Glasgow COP to it
with video of extreme weather events and resulting casualties
WE KNOW what is wrong-our lifestyle.Renewable energies might assuage
but not avoid chaos.In our lifetime=results of words over actions.
