THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"

Both created the poetry group AURICLES OF DELPHI

I met Dr.Marvin Kimbrough and Floyd Freeman at Huston-Tillotson University

I met Patricia Fiske through her puppetry work at Hyde Park Theater-

later she was to form RIPE &READY-a poetry troupe of senior women poets

which included Barbara Carr and Sharon Stuart..

Deb Akers set up the readings at BOOK WOMAN,and SHARE YOUR STORIES in South Austin Library

She was later to run the Children's Festival for AIPF(with up to 300 parents attending)

I met Peggy Lynch through her POETRY &THE ARTS readings

I met Alli Aweusi at Mexic-Arte Museum.Many I met through AIPF or APS-
