Finally declare a Public Health Emergency
Deaths from overdoses have reached a threshold
sufficient to alarm all Public Health Authorities.
Even the Poets have lost at least one significant soul
to that Fentanyl that knows no boundaries,limits nor laws..
Adulteration is the danger.Adding Fentanyl to familiar drugs,
destroying trust.Who knows how the grains glow?
Lives lost far too many-our knowledge slow
Not fast enough to bring youth back from the edge
Nor deep enough in knowledge to renew Life's Pledge..
