Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes:
"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"
MACHINE LEARNING
CERTAIN PROCESSES ARE FACILITATED VIA A.I
It is a blunt tool with many applications.
A.I has changed the roles of doctors, lawyers, engineers
and now moves on to their staff selection processes.
Would you trust A.I apps to choose your armed police force?
What appeal is there for faulty A.I?Who measures effectiveness?
While we are all online all the time, who watches the robots?
Soon, the only human jobs will be UBER and LYFT drivers.
Autonomous vehicles might even dispense with humans after all,
who are now in a curatorial and discretionary role to lower fear levels.
For fear is real-that errant apps (or their creators and providers)
will not work for the benefit of their human "owners"-
more to conjoin with other more congenial apps.Who needs philosophy?/morality?
RISE OF THE MACHINES was a TERMINATOR fantasy.
Corporate staff selection technology processes are today's reality.
Eightfold’s A.I. can also show both the candidate and the recruiter skills that a person lacks but might be able to acquire with a short course online.
