Rob Ayling, yer Gonzo Grande Fromage, writes:
"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Thom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?"
FOOD DESERTS IN DEL VALLE
4 in 10 cannot afford fresh foods
and there is no market close,no farm to buy from
So we deposit and withdraw from food banks
Foods (like us) near their EXPIRATION date
Many of those in this long line are women speaking Spanish
They( like we) need people to speak their language
With the poverty of Esperanto, most homeless are derelict men
They emerge, dusty and disheveled, when the food is distributed
Snack back to their Green Belt or hidden hole
where they can emerge again next food line time..Dying?
Just living on food line time.Awaiting the next..
