'Pink Floyd: The Dark Side Of The Moon – A Visual History' Book To Be Released

In tandem with the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's The Dark Side Of The Moon comes Pink Floyd: The Dark Side Of The Moon – A Visual History, a new book boxset from author Glenn Povey, founder of the Pink Floyd fanzine Brain Damage, co-writer of Pink Floyd In The Flesh: The Complete Performance History and author of Echoes: The Complete History of Pink Floyd.

The book will be available on June 16.

“Pink Floyd were a unique phenomenon,” Povey says. “They broke the mold both in terms of recording technique but also stage presentation and created a mystique that set them apart. My ongoing research into their history has spawned many books but here I have collated all of their performance and recording history surrounding this remarkable album.”

Inside this box, you get the complete recording history of the The Dark Side Of The Moon, documentation of all the live performances of the album by the band, previously unpublished photos and illustrations as well as facsimile memorabilia including photos, programs, handbills and passes.

Highlights of the super deluxe box includes:

• Signed and Numbered certificate by author Glenn Povey

• Reproduction of rare memorabilia, photos, and posters from the era

• A CD of interviews with the band recorded in the early 70s

To reserve your copy, pre-order at Pink Floyd: The Dark Side Of The Moon – A Visual History

 NOTICE

The eagle-eyed amongst you will have also noticed that the Gonzo Multimedia websites have changed and are in a process of flux, so there are no individual sales links at the moment. But check out www.gonzomultimedia.co.uk for a thing of wonder.
There is a hunky-dory, all singing, all dancing, Gonzo Publications website is now pretty well done, although there are still nine authors who need personal pages. You can find it at www.gonzopublishers.com and then tell me what a clever fellow I am. It even has a haiku to explain why some links are not finished:
"These links do not work, now but they will do so soon, we apologise"

Enjoy.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
