Instantly,a call comes through from Australia-
"Your bother is dead.He died last October.Only just found out
His daughter Belinda wants to learn more of us.Only knew us as family names..
Here comes cheeky Peter -always with a spark of life,bullying his sisters
As the youngest brother,he felt he had things to prove
What he loved was his wife Christine,his daughter Belinda,fishing,the beach and fun
He sold drugs on the Gold Coast until the Mafia told him to move on
He visited me in my OPEN HOUSE (7 Heidelberg Rd Clifton Hill)
but that was far too many years ago.Cast out as our "black sheep",
contacted only through sister Pauline(another rebel,also deceased)
It is hard to gather memories when his daughter asks who we are.
We are only names to her-but she loved Peter(with adoration,respect and a sense of fun..
Of course he looked like me(same parents,same family)-but only his laugh remains with me
A cheeky jocular approach to a life of constant adventures-my brother Peter will live forever
through his only beloved daughter Belinda..
