Francis Dunnery on Steve Hackett

stevehackett_largeMy next trip out will be a special guest performance at the Arcada Theater in St Charles, Chicago with the wonderful Mr Steve Hackett.
Many people already know that I sang guest vocals on the Genesis classic  ‘Dancing with a moonlight knight’ and ‘Suppers ready’ on Steve’s latest Genesis Revisited project but to sing these songs onstage with him will be a dream come true.
Steve was a special guest at our CKDCF charity event last year and was kind enough to travel from the other side of Europe and make time for our fundraising so I have a great deal of respect for the man outside of his music.
Steve Hackett’s energy has been with me since I was a child. From those first chords at the beginning to the musical box to the last notes on the Genesis Revisited album and everything else in between. It will be a great honor to play with the man and something I am now fortunate enough to be able to cross off my bucket list!

What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
