ERIC BURDON: Bruce Springsteen performs a tribute cover

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band played the second of back-to-back nights at the Hope Estate, a vinyard, in Hunter Valley, Australia on Sunday. And for the second straight night, he celebrated wine with an opener of "Spill The Wine," the 1970 song recorded by Eric Burdon and War.

As usual, Bruce mixed the set list up greatly when he plays back-to-back, playing 19 songs that were not played on NIght 1 on Saturday He played 46 different songs in the two nights.
There were four tour premieres in the 28-song, three-hour-and-eight minute performance: "Spill the Wine," "Brilliant Disguise," "4th of July Asbury Park (Sandy)" and "I Wish I Were Blind" (played solo acoustic in the encores).

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
