Eric Burdon headlining 25th anniversary Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival in Colne

Lancashire Telegraph: Eric Burdon will top the bill at the festivalEric Burdon will top the bill at the festival
ROCK legend Eric Burdon will headline the 25th anniversary Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival in Colne over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Festival organisers have pulled off a major coup by securing the services of the Animals’ former frontman, who will make Colne his only UK date in 2014.
A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Burdon was voted the 57th greatest vocalist of all time by Rolling Stone magazine and with the Animals, songs such as Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood and House of the Rising Sun pushed the band to the forefront of the British invasion of the States in the early Sixties.
Burdon is just one of a series of major stars who look like making the 25th anniversary festival one to remember.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
