Jon Anderson to play intimate acoustic show at Bear’s Den on April 11

Jon Anderson for Gusto Standalone. Why the band Yes continues to tour without Jon Anderson, original vocalist and co-writer of much of the fantastic music that comprises the group’s golden age, is a question best left to those directly involved. Fans should look at the positives in this situation – you can now see Yes touring with new vocalist John Davison on July 8 in the Seneca Allegany Casino, and catch Anderson in solo, acoustic mode in the intimate Bear’s Den at 8 p.m. Friday.
The last time Anderson played this same venue, two years back, the show was transcendent, an uplifting and up-close-and-personal interaction between artist and audience that found Anderson in strong voice, ebullient mood and fine fettle as guitarist and pianist.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
