Why the band Yes continues to tour without Jon Anderson, original vocalist and co-writer of much of the fantastic music that comprises the group’s golden age, is a question best left to those directly involved. Fans should look at the positives in this situation – you can now see Yes touring with new vocalist John Davison on July 8 in the Seneca Allegany Casino, and catch Anderson in solo, acoustic mode in the intimate Bear’s Den at 8 p.m. Friday.
The last time Anderson played this same venue, two years back, the show was transcendent, an uplifting and up-close-and-personal interaction between artist and audience that found Anderson in strong voice, ebullient mood and fine fettle as guitarist and pianist.
