Michael Deeds: Rick Springfield to play Boise for first time in decades

Three words: Girls' night out.
That pretty much sums up a Rick Springfield concert. The singer and ex-"General Hospital" studmuffin will headline Monday, July 28, at the Revolution Center.
Springfield will take a night off from a co-headlining summer tour with Pat Benatar to do this gig — his first ever in the Boise area (at least in the 21st century) — and bring his full band and full production, which includes five LED screens.
Springfield's hits include "Jessie's Girl," "I've Done Everything For You," "Affair of the Heart" and of course, the awesomely '80s "Don't Talk to Strangers."
Tickets go on sale for $39.50/$69.50 VIP/$225 meet-and-greet at 10 a.m. Friday atTicketfly.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
