GORDON GILTRAP/OLIVER WAKEMAN TOUR DATES

Gordon Giltrap and Oliver Wakeman: Ravens & Lullabies
Gordon Giltrap and Oliver Wakeman will play two rounds of UK shows in 2013 to support the release of their album Ravens & Lullabies.
They’ll hit the road in their own right at the end of this month, then in November they’ll play support to John Lees’ Barclay James Harvest.
Ravens & Lullabies is set for release on March 4 via Cherry Red. The 13-track work came to fruition after Giltrap originally asked Wakeman to provide keyboard input for a studio album, then they decided to engage in a full collaboration.
For Giltrap, it’s a return to his rock roots after a 30-year absence. He recently said: “I firmly believe that Ravens & Lullabies deserves major success. When I listen to it I get a little tingle of excitement, and I hope maybe this will be the one that moves the old career forward. Not only that: I hope it gives Oliver the break he so richly deserves.”

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
