LINK: Steve Howe Planning Solo Work

Steve Howe of Yes and Asia
Change of focus: Steve Howe
Steve Howe is planning solo work during 2013, he’s revealed – including becoming host of a unique music camp.
The guitarist surprised fans by announcing his departure from Asia last month, bringing to an end his third stint with the supergroup.
Now he’s confirmed he’ll head up the inaugural Cross Styles Music Retreat near Woodstock, New York, during August 19-23.
The event includes guitar instruction workshops for players of all levels, plus the chance to jam with Howe and fellow presenters Ray Matuza and Flavio Sala.
“This year I’m getting back to doing some solo dates,” Howe reports. “The retreat is an extension of that. I’ll be enjoying the different things the event will demand of me, as opposed to just doing shows.
“It indulges me in my singular fascination: the guitar. Hopefully my team and the audience can do a little mingling and learn more about each other.”

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
