GALAHAD: Empires never last

I will be the first to admit it. I left the music business years ago. Since I stopped touring in 1996 I haven't really been involved in music, and for the last seven years I have lived a mildly hermetic existence in a tiny North Devon village, from whence I occasionally emerge with the worst possible grace. So I have been out of the loop for a long time, and only got involved again when my dear friend Rob Ayling persuaded me that what the world really needed was this Gonzo Daily online magazine.

A lot of stuff had therefore passed me by. One of these things was Galahad. Bloody hell they are good, and I am massively enjoying discovering their witty, intelligent and literate back catalogue. Check this out for example:

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
