Glasgow show for Iain Matthews

Former Fairport Convention and Plainsong singer Iain Matthews plays two Glasgow dates on his forthcoming UK tour. Matthews, whose band Matthews Southern Comfort had a No 1 hit in 1970 with Joni Mitchell's Woodstock after he left Fairport Convention, and who was once considered as a lead singer for Steely Dan, appears with Dutch keyboards player Egbert Derix at the Glad Café in Pollokshaws Road on July 30 and Woodend Tennis Club in Jordanhill on August 1. He also plays a house concert in Edinburgh on July 31.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
