YES: Star of ‘Video Killed the Radio Star’ Geoff Downes to play at Gwent concert for Nepal

THE man behind the number one hit Video Killed the Radio Star is lending his support to a fundraising concert for Nepal.
Raglan resident and member of rock band Asia, Geoff Downes is among those who have signed up to perform at the Raglan Concert for Nepal.
The concert is being organised by Raglan Baptist Church to raise funds for those affected by the recent earthquakes in Nepal.
The church has links with the country and supports a family based in Kathmandu, through the donations to the Baptist Missionary Society World Mission, which is involved in medical and educational training both in the capital and more remote areas.
The Rev Dr Rob Atkins, Minister of Raglan Baptist Church said: “We are able to see the Chadwell family perhaps every couple of years when they come to Britain and we have got to know them well so now these earthquakes have struck we want to show our love. It’s great to be able to bring the village of Raglan together to do just that.”

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
