Fairport singer songwriter Chris Leslie in Alvechurch



A MULTI-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter from Oxfordshire is to perform at St Laurence Church in Alvechurch on October 9 at 7.30pm.

The event is taking place to raise money for the repair of the Church’s stained glass windows.

Chris Leslie has played and recorded with, several musical names including Jez Lowe, Ian Anderson, and Julie Matthews but is primarily known for his work with folk rock band Fairport Convention.

He has provided music for a number of Radio Four plays and his fiddle playing has been heard on TV shows like Heartbeat and Midsomer Murders.
