October 30 is a day many Frank Zappa fans have been waiting decades for as on that day Eagle Rock Entertainment will release Frank Zappa’s Roxy: The Movie on DVD & Blu-Ray. The concert film documents the legendary guitarist’s famed three-night stand at The Roxy in Hollywood, California, which took place on December 8 – 10, 1973. Zappa was backed by arguably the best band he played with, including keyboardist George Duke, multi-instrumentalist Napoleon Murphy Brock, Ruth Underwoodon percussion and Chester Thompson on drums. Roxy: The Movie will premiere a few weeks earlier at a screening in Hollywood.

The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood will present the world premiere of the film on October 14. A discussion will follow the screening with special guests to be announced. Tickets for the world premiere can be purchased via Fandango.
