THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?" 

"SIGNIFICANT SPEECH"

EACH SYLLABLE A METEORITE

Every word a star.Burning,incandescent/from ages past

As soon as you cage,air blows free.Until closed system

Then the conundrum is How to Rid Toxicity.Rivers,creeks clog

Traffic gridlocks.Heart attack city arteries.UNBLOCK!

Setting free birds,bees,butterflies -uncaged,on wings

Beats Monsanto mosquitoes against Zika. Cane toads.

Invasive species simply out of context.Anger.Envy.Violence

Common speech a silver song,exchanged for smiles

Value is determined less via markets ,more by miracles.Truth is

Weighed with a feather on the scales of life and art

You are a star child.Whatever is-you are at least a part.
