Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied within seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?" 

LOVE ADDS UP

Love and hate and anger also add up

Subtract fear,paranoia,self-loathing subtract

Emotional politics Mesmerizes

Ratings shoot higher than Mexican walls

Statistics are manipulated overall

Talking heads attack,cajole,call

for results in accord with their audience

Of course,folk voted in Hitler and Nixon and Reagan

Of course,some still revere The Dead Kennedies

Ghosts of FDR and STAR WARS in the eyes of voters

"It's the Economy,Stupid!"(sign on Clinton desk

but then again-semen on that intern's blue dress...
