PICKLES & POPCORN
It has been three years since i went to cinema
Prior to that i was an addict
I actually LIKED the aroma of greasy popping corn
and those stale pickles trapped in jars
In those days,of course,it was WAY TOO EXPENSIVE
So pockets would import snacks and drinks
Munching our way through a FIRST RELEASE
Today i am deciding between BABYLON and AVATAR(The Way of Water)
I know ticket prices are through the roof
and the concession corner exorbitant
So i will be a breatharian again-sniff the foyer air
as i dive into Babylon ...or The Way of Water
It is the whole experience-visual and gustatory
that makes cinema darkness full of snack munching strangers
and the smell of over-priced pickles and popcorn..
