Carnaby Street by The Michael Des Barres Band has been chosen as first-round nominee for Best Rock Album in the 55th Grammy Awards!
This record is simply undeniable. For an album of such raw authenticity and straight-up, pure and completely unapologetic rock and roll --- created in only seven days --- this is major validation.
Our goal now, on which
we have a laser-like focus, is to show every member of the Recording Academy that a vote for Carnaby Street is a donation to the Electric Church, which stands for joy, dancing, and making love!
Now... we are going to do this thing! Our campaign will continue in earnest until the final vote for nominees takes place on January 16th.
Michael Des Barres will not only be nominated for a Grammy --- he will WIN!
"Your'e My Pain Killer" is the track that I have been highlighting during this very determined campaign. This song has risen to the top amongst strong competition, grabbing the attention of both voters and fans. It is of my heartfelt personal opinion that "Your My Pain Killer" should be released widely as a single with promotion towards US airplay.
Huge and very well-earned congratulations to Michael and his amazing band!
