It was a star-studded evening in New York City last night to honor musician, actor, and philanthropist, Steven Van Zandt while raising funds for the organization Little Kids Rock. Special surprise guest Bruce Springsteen presented Van Zandt with the Big Man Award, which is given annually to honor the legacy of the late, great Clarence Clemons. Past honorees include Lady Gaga and The Big Man himself.
Sponsored by The House of Marley and 1Love.org, the celebration included blockbuster performances by Elvis Costello, Tom Morello, Darlene Love, Kris Allen, Gary U.S. Bonds, Southside Johnny, Michael DesBarres, Ruben Blades, plus hometown hero, musician and former NY Yankee Bernie Williams among many others. The evening concluded with a grand finale that featured all of the guest artists performing alongside Bruce Springsteen and Steven Van Zandt.
