Barbara Dickson In Her Own Words: A Life In Music

Barbara Dickson In Her Own Words: A Life In Music
Barbara Dickson in conversation with John K V Eunson, and music with Nick Holland.
As a multi-million selling recording artist with an equally impressive Olivier Award winning acting career, Barbara Dickson OBE has firmly established herself as one of the most enduring and popular artistes in Britain today.  Now in her 45th year in music, Barbara is still doing what she loves best – creating music and performing live.
Join us for the grand finale of Young At Heart 2013 as Barbara talks to John K V Eunson, Scottish writer, about her life: growing up in Dunfermline; performing on the folk circuit with the likes of Billy Connolly and Gerry Rafferty; starring on stage in Blood Brothers and on television in Band Of Gold; and, throughout, her continuing love of music.
In the second half, Barbara performs an acoustic set of her favourite music accompanied by Nick Holland on keyboards and vocals.
“The chance to hear [Barbara] sing a personal choice of favourite good songs should not be missed.” (The Times)

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
