MORE ON HAWKWIND AT MANCHESTER

Hi Jon

For the record, or not, my builder mate, Jason has downed tools today in Burnmouth up here in the Scottish borderlands, to head south to Manchester for the Hawkwind gig. He's clutching a copy of the 'Travelling Daze' book I compiled with many Travellers and Musos from around the planet. He reckons Mister Brock and friends may like it. You were kind enough to review it a few months ago. As you know, it includes dozens of contributions, words and pics, from the people who actually helped put on the free festivals of the 1960s and 70s; many of whom are still out there 'doing it' and 'living the life':  http://www.enablerpublications.co.uk/pages/travelling_daze.htm

Meanwhile it is selling nicely. As a for instance, Mel from Magnus Records and Films, emailed me this morning saying:

"Wow that was quick got it this morning! Only had time to flick through but really like what i have seen so far, David (Stooke's) paintings brilliant as ever and really nice anecdotal stuff, VERY  chuffed to  have a pic of us in too, much thanks and i hope you sell many, i shall certainly recommend it....all the best xxx mel"

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
