I have great respect for this artist. Not only because of the fascinating formations Moongarden the board, not just for the fact that whenever there is the other albums with colleagues (and we know that at one time he worked among others with Steve Hackett, Bernardo Lanzettim, John Wetton, David Jackson , Silvia Orlandi, Angela Baraldi, and most recently can be heard on the new album Mangala Vallis group Fri "Microsolco"), always brings them something interesting, something specific to you and your game. And he plays mostly piano, but also on guitar (mostly bass) and Chapman sticku. This gave the show it's a great game to the Polish audience, when in 2008, visited us for a concert with The Watch. I remember now, it was a phenomenal show of playing the instrument in its execution ...

Cristiano Roversi also appears solo albums. In 1999 he made his debut as a soloist on the album "Music From My Room's Window", and in 2003 he released the album "The Park", on which he played all the instruments, and now, on October 1, labelGalileo Records released his third solo album entitled "Antique". This album almost acoustic, quiet and full of fairy music. "I wanted to let him drift my ideas and imagination completely without any restrictions. No stress, no pressure on the style requirements of the market, without time pressure. On the new album I wanted to tell the story of an imaginary land, which is not known if there is on the planet, or somewhere in the universe. Is there now or may exist in the past and may in the future ...? In this way I was able to compose and play without any restrictions. And that's why I think the "antique" plate is honest, true and very natural "- so about his new work, says Cristiano.

The board largely instrumental music fills. Soft, dreamy, romantic and fairytale. Spirited and inspired. Sophisticated and serene. It's just ... beautiful. Its climate like acoustic panels Anthony Phillips. It is divided into 13 short musical episodes that make up a coherent and complete whole. While listening to the impression as if it were a movie soundtrack. Because it's actually very artistic music, while listening to the closed eyelids which created pastel paintings, gathering his own life through the imagination of the recipient. Therefore, you can "antique" to name a very personal album. Prestige for its creators - because clearly hear the music that flowed straight from his heart and soul, but also personal to the individual recipient, because it allows the feeding of the sounds of melodies arranged in their own image - an imaginary film elements unfolding in the imagination. The album is dominated by the sounds of live, acoustic instruments. There is a lot melody played on piano and 12-string guitars, mellotron here and speaks, Hammond organ, and the whole multitude of synth devices supported by our hero. Often you can hear electric guitar solos tearful maintained in true style latimerowskim. Rhythmically whole is based on drum machine (actually only one song says the "live" drums), but that does not bother to listen to this music. Remember that in the case of the album "antique" we do not have to deal with strictly rock music. Rather, it is through the production of illustrative and largely instrumental. Computer-generated drum sounds in such cases do not interfere. These are the three themes of this album singing. Cristiano asked to lend voice is not just any singers. Let's start with female vocals. It belongs to the least known in this group you hiding the graceful pseudonym of Leonora. In the main, it is the role of the spiritual, dreamlike song "Falling". More whispering than singing it. A much more familiar and expressive are the two male voices.Bernardo Lanzetti former frontman of the legendary band PFM. Here he sings about on "Tales From Solitude" and Aldo Tagliapietra is a man known for another famous Italian formation, Le Orme, and it's what we have the opportunity to hear the song "L'Amore".

Remember, however, that the vocal themes are just a kind of artistic interludes in this illustrative story about Cristiano Roversiego idyllic land. I must admit that knowing his oeuvre was not expecting after this kind of music. This album is different than all of the work we associate the music. "Antique" is an album quite surprising, yet beautiful in the world najnormalniej because filled with dreamy, highly refined music. And probably because helps in effective isolation from the surrounding gray reality ...

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
