Ex-Yes Singer Jon Anderson Taking Part in New Progressive Rock Cruise

Original Yes frontman Jon Anderson is one of the many artists who’ll set sail on a new progressive-rock-themed cruise scheduled to take place this February.  The Progressive Nation at Sea event will embark from Miami on February 18 and visit two Bahamian locations — Freeport and the private island of Great Stirrup Cay — before returning to port on February 22.
The cruise was co-organized by former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy and keyboardist Derek Sherinian, and is a nautical version of the Progressive Nation multi-artist tours their old band headlined in 2008 and 2009.  In addition to Anderson, the seagoing music festival’s lineup features ex-King Crimsonsinger/guitarist Adrian BelewGuns N’ Roses guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, veteran power trio King’s X and a new supergroup that includes Portnoy, Sherinian, bassist Billy Sheehan and guitarist Tony MacAlpine.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
