ERIK NORLANDER WRITES...

As threatened, I have released the second video from my forthcoming Live in Gettysburg DVD. It's the song "Neurosaur" that opens the show:

Neurosaur

This song originally appeared on my debut solo album, Threshold, in 1997. I released two other live versions in 2003 and 2004 from Germany and Russia, respectively. Then we did a re-record of the song for the Asia Featuring John Payne EP, Military Man, released in 2009 by Voiceprint / Gonzo. I play this song with AFJP as part of my solo set at all shows, and it's likely my best-known piece. Oh ... and here's an odd factoid: The song appeared in a P. Diddy MTV show called "If I Were King" in 2008 where P. Diddy / Sean Combs documented his mens fashion line. Yes, really! It was the soundtrack used for the models walking the runway under huge gothic chandeliers in this castle-like setting.

Also, one should not forget that Erik has already released one video fropm the forthcoming package:

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
