THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

Rob Ayling writes: 

"Thom the World poet, is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearences with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth, Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. TO MAKE IT THROUGH THIS MOMENT
eye assembled my cliches-my Army of Linguistic Innocents-

and questioned each as to their continuing relevance in January 2013.

Materialist NOUN replied that without denotation,we would all be lost.

PRONOUN suggested that the personal approach (pre-app.)still worked

while VERB kept urging immediate action.PARTICIPLE agreed with him!

In fact nearly all parts of speech sided with language as both portent and process

In this- dialecticians and grammarians concurred-we are as we wend our way in this world

To name is to map.To act is to change.To find where we are needs signs,symbols,speech

Here is where they diverged-one voted for the primacy of speech.To speak is to be/

to listen an exchange.Others pointed out the necessity of script(idea) -to be scribed/written down..

Drama ensued.Demotic poesie.SLAM!Jam!and Bardic exchanges.Issues are still unresolved

Your body politic gave two votes for ears,arms,legs,eyes.One for mouth.The eyes have it!
