‘It was great, great fun’: Ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett optimistic about another album with Yes’ Chris Squire

Nearly a year after releasing a celebrated collaboration with fellow prog legend Chris Squire of Yes, Steve Hackett says another album could be in the offing. The former Genesis guitarist says it just a matter of scheduling.
Of course, Hackett is now in the midst of touring behind his sprawling new double-disc release Genesis Revisited II,while Squire is leading Yes through a series of concerts that include complete readings of a trio of classic 1970s-era efforts.
Still, there was a spark associated with 2012′s Squackett album — which grew out of a Hackett solo project — that makes an eventual return intriguing.
“I think that he would like to do another Squackett album,” Hackett says of Squire, talking to Britain’s Radio Nova 100 FM. “I had great fun doing that with him — because he’s very, very enthusiastic. … From the word go, I could see he was so into it. It was going to be an album of mine, and we ended up making it this thing together. … It was great, great fun working with him. He’s just like a kid when he’s in the studio — or in the living room, where we made a lot of this stuff.”

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
