ROBERT WYATT, JULIAN COPE AND JAMES YORKSTON JOIN THE CONVERSATION AT GREEN MAN 2013

Have you heard the word? The legendary Robert Wyatt, Julian Cope and James Yorkston are headlining ‘Talking Shop’ - Green Man’s re-vamped spoken word and literature stage!
Located in the new “Babbling Tongues,” area, our inaugural Talking Shop stage is guaranteed to set tongues wagging with a brilliant line-up of authors, musicians, poets and playwrights holding court and holding forth in a series of unique and truly inspiring conversations.

We’re honoured to welcome the wonderful Robert Wyatt to look back on his incredible musical career, while Green Man veteran James Yorkston explores the resurgent influence of traditional folk in modern music with a little help from his guitar.

And the ever-singular Julian Cope discusses the themes and rites explored in his seminal and shamanic text Copendium, An Expedition Into The Rock ‘n’ Roll Underworld

Curated by acclaimed Welsh author Richard King, here are just some of the highlights lined up for our new Talking Shop stage at Green Man 2013…

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
