IT'S probably fair to say that there has never been another rock god quite like Rick Wakeman.
Because Rick's journey through the glory years and his approach to growing veg, growing older, and getting wiser and apparently grumpier has been one that we all hitched a trailer on to for the ride.
Now Rick is returning to Cheltenham Town Hall with the aptly titled Yet Another Evening with Rick Wakeman, and you can tell who came up with that one; Rick does call a spade a spade.
His continued bemusement and frustration at the world around him is all part of his curmudgeonly charm. His attempts to grow his own vegetables are a continual source of amusement – this is the man who received condolences on Twitter when his solitary sprout finally fell off the stalk. He's a stalwart of Grumpy Old Men and a regular on Watchdog and Countdown, and his live shows are chock full of unlikely but hilariously true anecdotes, with a sprinkling of musical genius thrown in for good measure.
