THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem


Rob Ayling writes: 

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not? why not indeed!!" YOUR BODY TALKS TO YOU!
Stomach gurgles,you release
You burp(repeat)/snore through sleep
You cuddle and are scratched in skin
Blood inside you moving/demonstrating
heart beating,pulse racing/high pressure
makes face RED alarm bells RING!
You sing in showers,walk with powers
Associated and associating.Fingers pointing
In stillness,repose,meditating.You do not need
to believe /when every thing is self-evident within.
'Three score years and ten"-you live beyond them
The Republic of Your Being secedes/in time
dandruff flakes like toe and fingernails guillotine
Body is no dream.It sings!Whenever you can join in
becomes your election..Who will win?Head?Heart?Liver?Kidneys?
ALL OF THE ABOVE must love and co-operate
Body Republic relies upon such an armistice
Eye Surrender Easily..Hear Me?
